Air Asia Macau Trip Finale: My love, Portuguese Tart

Part:  1 |  2 | 3 | 4 |

Honestly, I still miss the hotel room a lot T3T. Highly recommended for those who gonna visit Macau. Sheraton and Conrad Hotel is comfortable.

A few more stops to drop by before we going back to Malaysia.

Macau Tower Bungee Jump!

First stop, the famous Macau Tower and the location for the world’s highest bungee jump. A freaky 233 drop.

It was early so it’s rather quiet.

Haze from China 🙁

MonsterMiao VS Salted Egg Man

(…)

My best travel mates ever.

An interesting sign I found on the glass of the tower. XD

Another floor up is an semi open deck.

Quite a cozy place to chill out.

Yes, this is where people pay one and half thousand to jump down from a tower. And it only takes 4 seconds to reach the bottom.

If you have no money, I provide free jumps without gears. XP Only from Miao XD

You can opt for the skywalk which is cheaper and less scary.

See! even kids join the fun.

but still it is very tall. O_O

Our Chingy here is the weird one.

And in a blink of eye…

she signed up.

See how happy she is. XD

Crazy Dragon Chingy.

This is the machine that gonna save the jumper’s life.

The best way to enjoy a friend experiencing suicide…is with a coke..not coca cola but..

Karma Coke.

Love the design of the bottle 😀

and here she goes…

burning RM300 each second down. XP

………………………………….

Post jump interview:

Me: How is it?

Chingy: Okay okay only. Not that scary. I wanna go other place and jump.

Me: . . . . . . . . crazy.

.

.

*put the crazy Chingy a side* It’s time for Lunch!!

Miramar Portuguese Restaurant

Last Portuguese meal before we leave.

Olive!! I don’t like it hahahaah

The girls love it tho.

Salted Fish Mashed Potato. Like salted fish, it goes well with rice.

Salad! …with olives.

tomatoes, carrots, onions yay!!

olive …nay hahaha…

I believe this is beef. I don’t eat beef. Allergy.

Non halal!!!

Roasted piglet. Poor piglet, didn’t even had the chance to attend kindergarden.

I’m not really a pork person either hahaha..

OMG OMG!!! CRABS SALAD!!!!

C.R.A.B.S !!!!

a little sour tho because of olive =.= but still CRABS!!

I thought this will be favorite dish until..

this showed up. Seafood Porridge!!

Fish, Prawns….CRABS !!! OMG CRABS!! CRABS!!!!

One spoonful and you feel like you’re doing mud bath with seafood. Yums!!!

Can I have this for breakfast everyday? XP

Fruit Punch to end the meal.

We’re sooo full after the lunch, can barely move. What more to say about putting another spoon of food into our mouth.

.

.

.

That’s what we thought. Then the tour guide told us she’s bringing us for Portuguese Tart.

What?? Heavenly Portuguese Tart!!!!!!??

What is “full”? No such word existed in my dictionary before. Lol lol

and off we went.

Located near Taipa, the Lord Stow’s Bakery. Freshly made Portuguese tarts! I bought like a dozen of it.

Portuguese Tart has always been one of my favorites. I don’t eat any other tarts beside portuguese tart.

So how could I wait any longer, right?

I took a bite straight after getting my tarts.

It’s Fabulous!! I think I can finish the whole one dozen on my own.

Soooo good!!!

.

.

I think I had fall in love with the Portuguese tart. <3 Miss it soo much right now while blogging this.

.

.

Taipa Houses Museum

Last stop of the day and the trip, the Taipa Houses. These houses used to be the admin offices during Portuguese colonization time. Glad they maintained and well kept the place. Now they are all museums and galleries. I think it would work great as cafe or restaurant too. hehehe

It’s quite a famous location for the locals to take wedding photos. That day we bumped into 3 different pairs/groups. And most of them looks very young, younger than me. In my cat opinion.

Why you all get marry so soon?? Even my readers are getting married one by one. O_O

You can see from the photo bus it’s actually drizzling and I took the photos in the rain. LOL

Just for you all. See how nice I am. XD So please comment, like and share my post. 😛

After lurking around for a while, we were sent back to the airport. Good Bye Macau!

.

.

………………………………………….

Well that’s end of my trip to Macau. 😀  Check out my other Macau post if you haven’t.

Part:  1 |  2 | 3 | 4 |

If you’re interested in Macau, feel free to book your tickets now at AirAsia

and if you need data when you’re there, do check out TuneTalks Data plan. They have a few plans for you to choose from as Macau’s own operator data is actually rather pricey.

Beside of the good pricing from Tune Talk,  you can actually use the balance when you’re back in Malaysia, not wasting the money. XD

Thank you Macau Tourism, AirAsia and Tunetalk for this amazing trip! ^v^

AirAsia Macau Trip: Walking Tour

Part:  1 |  2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Third day yoo!!!! And lots of walking to do.

Like a lot as our first activity of the day is hiking.

Guia Fortress, Guia Lighthouse and Chapel

I heart trees~They are awesome!

Macau, 15 times smaller than Kuching but having the same population as Kuching City.

Look how dense it is OAO.

Luckily, they still keep some hills and parks green.

These are typhoon signs. In the old days, they hang this on the tower on the hill whenever there is a typhoon to alert the citizens.

Guia Lighthouse and Chapel! A very unique chapel, they have Chinese mythical beast drawing in it.

Nana nana na… bagman. Emo Chingy is emo.

.

.

Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial House

After hiking down from the hill, we dropped by at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial House.

Sun Yat Sen, it’s the father of modern China (Taiwan). There are many documents and old photos. If you are into Modern China history, do check out the place. It was a little rush that day, so I didn’t manage to read much of the information.

but i did saw an animal friend in there. The Milu Deer.

It was nick named “Neither fish nor fowl (四不像)” as it has features of a cow, a horse, a deer and a donkey.

.

.

Lou Lim Ieoc Garden

After the short visit, we dropped by at a garden.

and found out…

Okay, it used to be someone’s backyard but now it’s a public garden.

Still it’s crazy! The garden is so huge I almost got lost and took at least half an hour to finish.

.

.

Tap Seac Square

It’s a big empty square with surrounded by important historic buildings.

We didn’t hang out much as it is time for…..

.

.

LUNCH!!!!

Canton at Venetian Hotel

DimSum for Lunch!!!!!

oh wait. what?? Having dim sum for lunch is something new to me.

Dumplings and Dumplings!! Juicy!! \(^ O ^)/

From left to right:

– Another dumpling. LOL

– Popiah

– Braised abalone.

From top to bottom:

– Fresh prawn Dumplings with crispy thingy. 😀 Yumss!!

– Deep Fried noodles in Cantonese style.

.

.

Awesome dim sum. One of the best I had 😀 but still Dim sum for lunch is not enough for my appetite.

I can eat a cow.. oh wait. I don’t eat beef.

I can eat a dinosaur!!!

.

.

Dinosaur exhibition at Venetian

And dinosaur it is!! Lol

I always find dinosaur amazing, and how such awesome animals walk the earth in the old days.

I wonder why the artist made dinosaur green or grey?

Who knows, maybe they were colorful?

And T-Rex could be pink or rainbow colored, we never know right?

.

.

After the exhibition, the group split into two. One who head back to the hotel to rest and the other group head for more food.

Taipa streets

Of course, I go for the food. XD especially when I heard what we’re going to have.

My favorite food.

Anyone wanna hired me to pain their wall??

CRABS!!!! I love Crabs a lot. I don’t mind all the hardwork of smashing, peeling just for the sake of the sweet savory fresh crab meat but..

it seems like the crabs from that shop was strong enough for my taste bud. You can try though but it cost RM80 for one.

Speaking of eating crabs, I wonder what was on the first guy’s mind when he grabbed a crab and went: “Oh, let’s cook this hard looking animal and eat. “

Literally means Cat Shit Coffee, it’s actually the civet coffee, one of the most expensive coffee in the world.

What Civet Coffee? Civet eats coffee beans, the best beans only. And the digestion system can’t process the beans, so when it poops, the beans comes out together with the poop. Somehow the biological chemistry in the digestion system makes the beans taste better.

Too bad, nowadays Civet coffee are commercially produce where civets are kept in cage and fed with coffee beans. Hence the beans are not as good as those from wild civet.

I didn’t try tho as I’m not a poop person…i mean coffee person.

I love walking around the streets whenever I go travel, I think one can see and learn much more on foot that in a car.

Someone open a kopitiam like this in Kuching please? 😛

Imagine having McD is at your doorstep. 😐 Not a good thing imo.

We found this street that is full of restaurant and cafes and all of them have their own style of windows. XD

And all of them are very nice :3

After about 30-45 minutes walk, we found out..

.

.

.

we

we walked in a different direction. =.=

After another one and a half hour walk…

Venetian Hotel again!!

we are back at Venetian Hotel again as we missed out the famous Venice part of the hotel earlier.

Fake Venice but very nice!!! Can we have this in Kuching??

I wanna hang out at a shopping mall similar like this!

Can someone please buy that stupid ugly Cityone mall and renovate the inside of the mall into a street?

so much feel~~~

If they have real restaurant and cafes on top of the stores, it would so super duper whooper burger awesome!!

.

.

They provide gondola (boat rides) in the fake Venice river but the gondolier is real and can really sing! OvO Super awesome!!!

After the awesome walk at fake Venice, we went back to our hotel to rest our tummy for dinner. XD

World Fireworks Championship + Buffet at Macau Tower

Dinner below the Macau Tower!! 😀

Didn’t had a single shot of the food as I was so hungry XD

I remembered the crab meat pasta was good hahahaha well because it’s crabs 😛

Only we going up the tower tomorrow and we ended our night by…

the peaceful sky with…

Air Asia Macau Trip: Day 2

Part:  1 |  2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Shrekfast at Sheraton Hotel

The next day morning~~we had a fantasy themed breakfast.

The Dreamworks’ Shrekfast.

What is a Shrekfast? Basically, first they put you in a castle themed location like above to have your breakfast.

Then, they send out characters from Dreamworks’ animation to disturb you with your breakfast. hahaha

because you’re having mini version them for breakfast. You can just hug them to stop them from disturbing tho.

Wine Museum

Escaped from Shrek and the rest, we headed over to the wine museum. If you’re a wine person, you will love this place. There’s history and also information on classification of wines.

The best part..

but i didn’t went as I’m not a wine person yet and yes, chingy here don’t drink any liquor. =.=

Grand Prix Museum

Opposite the Wine Museum is the Grand Prix Museum where it documents and showcase the history of grand prix and F1 in Macau.

Wine and Cars, great place for guys XD except me.

I’m not a fan of wine and cars. I enjoy disturbing people..

like where Chingy accident left her camera at the museum and we hid it from her. It was fun. hohoho

MGM Macau Hotel

After the museum tour, we head over to MGM hotel for our lunch.

The place was amazing ,they have this themed hall, MGM Aurora. Every year they will setup a theme for it.

This year, they have a Life of Pi inspired theme.

Oh waittt.. there’s a big aquarium..

Nanny (le octopus): Fishh….

Miao: Food…

Nanny: . . . .

The interior design of the place is lovely and everything is so huge.

Look at the door! Look at the pillars!!

Oh ya, we’re here for lunch. Buffet!!!

Look at all the meat and seafood i had!! x3 plates for each plate shown above. hahahah

and unlimited ice cream is love~~ :3

Senate Square

After a fat cat lunch, we head over to Senate Square, it’s a place where the locals, youngster, and even tourist hang out. Something like our Bukit Bintang area.

Check out all the Portuguese styled buildings. Lovely isn’t it 😀

There were many shops and brand outlets but too bad.. I couldn’t enjoyed them T3T

as i was in a hurry.

Too much free flow drinks during lunch.

The place was really packed with people.

Look at the sea of people!!! scary!!

It was also the annual Beer Race festival. Waiter and waitress all around Macau came and compete in this race.

Some of them are really really good.

Found some familiar brands along the way.

Love the Starbuck building. Oh the shop on the right is the famous Macau pork chop bun.

Because of their Portuguese history background, their signage have all three languages on it.

They are actually quite proud of their history background unlike here in Malaysia, the government is kinda anti and try to remove any trace of it which i don’t understand why.

It turned out the toilet we’re looking for it’s actually right beside the Ruins of St Paul Church which happened to be our meeting point afterward. 😐

Ruins of St Paul’s Church

Anyway, Ruins of St Paul’s Church!!!! Ruins done it the right way.

I just found out I forgot to give it a touch by gosok my body on it leaving my cat mark. hahaha

The view from St Paul’s Church.

After hanging out at the Ruins of St Paul’s Church, we went to Michael Jackson Museum.

.

MJ Museum

The museum is not big tho, only two floors where one of the floor is a cafe.

The prominent attraction are these two iconic garments from Michael Jackson.

oh they have this werewolf statue there..not sure which MV is it from tho.

I’m not really a MJ fan. Then Chingy wanted to take a photo of it.

hahaha poor her. People just walked away unintentionally.

Stupid Chingy acting cute.

In the end, I was forced to take a photo of this as no one wanna took. ┐( ˘_˘)┌

.

Boat Ride

After the short visit to the MJ Museum, we went for a boat ride but too bad there’s no good sunset view on that day.

After the ride, it was my favorite time!! Meal time!! XD

.

Restaurante Litoral

Tonight we’re having Portuguese for dinner at the Restaurante Litoral, a famous Portuguese Restaurant.

Check out the dish we had.

From left to right:

– Cuttlefish salad.

– Salad Salad: LOL!

– Fresh Steamed Clam.

– Baked Duck Rice with Bacon: Yummy!! but a little salty.

– Prawn bisque in bread bowl: Very creamy. Have so many food that i only finish the prawns and leave the bread alone.

– African Chicken: My favorite dish of the night. The sauce is very nice, a little like rendang with sweet and sour taste.

– One of Macau Signature dish, Curry Crabs: I have high anticipation for this as I’m a crab lover. but turned out it was a let down for me. 🙁 It’s either I have too high expectation or maybe I was so used to the heavy spiced curry crabs back in Malaysia that i find the taste a little too light to my liking.

The dinner ended very well with all the yummy dessert we had. Looked at all these desserts I finished without sharing!!!!

Yummzz!! I went back hotel as a fat cat!!

.

to be continued.
