Miao at HAPA-GAB 2014 Outlet of the Year and Best Resto-Bar Winner, SOULed Out @ Sri Hartamas

:: Please do not read this before you buka puasa ::

So the other day I was in KL…

so here’s the food blog post. It’s been a long time since I do a food post.

I was happened to be in the city and Anna asked me to join her for a food testing event.

It was a private media engagement media for Sri Hartamas’s SOULed Out for winning the HAPA-GAB 2014 Outlet of the Year and also the Best Resto-Bar Winner. Fuyooh an awarded bar!

This means that their environment, service and the most important food must be really good!!

SOULed OuT has prepared a special menu for us to try.

#Waitwhat!

Appetizer up!!

SOULed Out Satays!!!

I love satays a lot!! And what I love about their satay is that it is all made of lean meat. I don’t like having fat meat in between my satays. Go away fat meat!

Next up, Fried Beef Noodles!!

Seriously, it was super smooth and tender. Normally, beef tends to be chewy but not this. It was so tender, that I kinda suspect it’s identity. LOL Seriously, I didn’t know it was Beef until Anna confirmed with me.

Le Chicken Cordon Bleu!!

Boneless whole chicken leg wrapped around chicken sausage with cheese and chicken ham!! So many layers like chicken-meat-ception!!  XD

Sizzling Lamb Cutlets!

Lamb cutlets marinated on special Northern Indian spices on a sizzling plate.

Sake San Pizza!

Yes, it’s a fusion food! I love fusion of anything, food, art, fashion and even *koff koff* girls *koff koff*

So what is Sake San Pizza? Well…

typo: not*

Beside salmon, the pizza was also topped with roe, cherry tomatoes, Japanese mayo, lollo rosso and some wasabi.

Alright, coming up next is my second favorite dish of the day!

Summertime Salad!!

Grilled seafood, Orange segments, alfafa sprouts drizzled with homemade vinaigrette and bla bla bla… Grilled Seafood!!!!

I’m a cat, and seafood means everything to me! LOL The grilled seafood in the salad was awesome! So soo fresh. The prawns was juicy and bouncy and the calamari was tender soft! oh my cat god!!! Tender soft grilled calamari is so hard to get!! I have very weak and sensitive teeth, so tenderness means a lot to me  ^-^”

Alright, be hold the king of the dish of the night (for me)…

Chicken Makanwala (Spicy Onion Gravy)!

When I first read the name on the menu list, I was expecting it to be very onion-ish and spicy. It’s a Northern Indian food, it should carries punches ready to throw at my tongue. Well, that’s what I thought.

And it turned out…

Such a gentle but amazingly appetizing dish. I couldn’t stopped digging the gravy, it is so good.

So good that it goes well with everything!

almost everything.

And we’re done!

7 SO Lip Smacking dishes  from the 4 kitchens of SOULed Out namely, Western, Asian, Northern Indian and So Pizza. So much good food for a night. What’s better to wash them down with fresh GAB brews.

Love the new Tiger Radler because it doesn’t taste bitter and as gassy as normal beer. Anna said it’s too sweet and it’s a lady beer, but ironically she didn’t drink Radler also. =_=

Wait.

How can we forgot about dessert!!

One of the best lava cake ever because it’s not too sweet!! My teeth can’t stand sweet food. So this is just purfect!!

Like all chocolate lava cake, it goes so well with vanilla ice cream~~ they are like the best couple ever!

Maybe I can make it better…

Okay maybe not.

Since the world cup season is here, SOULed OUT seems to be an ideal hangout spot for football fans.

Papamiao’s favorite son is not me. XD Dunno wanna cry and laugh.

Papamiao came back with a boat-ship floating bus thingy.

Papamiao brought back a bunch of these buns from Sibu!

Super soft! I love the kaya and buttermilk version but papa didn’t bought any of them.
